Liberal Democrat home affairs spokesman Baroness Miller warned on Radio 4's Today programme this morning that secret inquests could be back on the agenda due to amendments tabled in the House of Lords to the Coroners' Bill.You can hear what she had to say (item starts at 07.32) here.
It was thought the issue of secret inquests had gone away after an outcry by the media. In May it was reported that Justice Secretary Jack Straw had abandoned his plans to hold parts of inquests in secret and without a jury on the grounds of national security.
